When my sister got married in 2008, my duties as maid of honor sucked me into levels of wedding details I didn’t know existed. That’s when I truly became obsessed with flowers. I would go to weddings and sigh over inspired centerpieces, ogle magazine spreads flooded with gorgeous bouquets, and scroll through endless Pinterest boards, littered with artistic arrangements. All I could think was, why can’t I buy these anywhere?
And thus, Thorn & Thistle was born. After spending time as a floral designer, I’ve gained some key insights about the flower industry.
With Thorn & Thistle, I’m turning the flower shop business model upside down by offering freshly-made, cutting edge arrangements that are small, affordable, and right at your local farmer’s market. I hope to inspire with these arrangements and eventually, turn Thorn & Thistle into a thriving, full time, local business.

- Most flower designs haven’t changed since... forever.
- Grocery store flowers are more convenient, but die quickly and are generally uninspired.
- Delivery fees!
- Good quality flowers are expensive.
